Prizes
The five (5) best authors will participate in a final competition where they will be expected to make oral presentations of their essays to the audience and Panel of Judges during the 1st OBINNA IGWE COLLOQUIUM in commemoration of the 39th birthday of the President of the Igwe Foundation; Comrade S.O.B Igwe.
The Winner will go home with a Plague and 60,000 naira
1st Runner up, will go home with a plague and 30,000 naira
2nd Runner up, will go home with a Plague and 20,000 naira
The 4th to 10th Participants will each go home with a certificate of Participation and consolation prizes.
Guidelines:
1. Applicant MUST reside in any of the three Local Government Areas of Abia State; namely Ikwuano, Umuahia North or Umuahia South;
2. Author MUST not be over 35 years old;
3. Submissions MUST be the unaided work of applicant on the above topic, showing clarity of thoughts and innovation; providing practical suggestions where necessary.
4. The essay must have four parts:
• Title Page
• Body of work (showing introduction, body and conclusion)
• Bibliography (Where necessary )
• Bio-data of applicants
5. Applicants MUST be ready to defend their Essay;
6. Using a font size of 14, entries must be double spaced.
7. The essay MUST have a minimum of 1500 words MUST not exceed 1800 words.

The IGWE Leadership Essay Competition for Young Adults *Youths* is to commemorate the 39th birthday of the President of the IGWE Foundation - Comrade S.O.B Igwe.
This competition demonstrates the commitment of the IGWE Foundation in promoting and advancing the spirit of Creativity, Patriotism, Vision , and Public Speaking among the Youths thereby making them active participants in the development of the State and the Nation.
This competition is also a fulfilment of one of the major objectives of the Igwe Foundation which includes giving everyone a chance to develop skills and empower the younger generation to take personal responsibility for defining their future.
